📚 PAPADI PARK READING CLUB

Growing confident readers. Building a love for books.

The Papadi Park Reading Club is a fun and supportive reading experience designed to help primary school children become more confident, capable and enthusiastic readers.

Papadi Park Reading Club

We believe reading is about more than simply getting the words right. It is about understanding what you read, finding your voice as a reader, discovering new ideas and developing a genuine love for stories and books.

Our sessions combine guided reading, phonics and blending where needed, reading games, stories, comprehension activities, discussions and creative challenges. Each learner is supported according to their age, grade and individual reading level, allowing younger and older readers to participate meaningfully and grow at their own pace.

Our current focus is built around three key goals

🗣️

Reading Confidence

Helping children feel comfortable reading aloud, trying new words and expressing themselves without fear of making mistakes.

💡

Reading Comprehension

Helping children understand, discuss and think about what they read — moving beyond simply saying the words on the page.

❤️

A Love for Reading

Creating positive experiences around books and stories so that reading becomes something children look forward to, rather than something they have to do.

Learners are also encouraged through our Papadi Park Badge system, which celebrates effort, participation, progress and personal achievement along the reading journey.

Every reader can grow

Whether a child needs to strengthen their reading foundations or is already a strong reader looking for greater confidence, challenge and enjoyment, the Papadi Park Reading Club provides a space where every reader can grow.

And this is only the beginning. As the Reading Club continues to grow, we look forward to creating more opportunities for children to read, explore, share stories and experience the joy of books together.
